LIKABALI, Sep 29: The Lower Siang District Administration organised a Seva Sankalp Abhiyan through a Seva Setu camp, in line with the Seva Aapke Dwar initiative, at Government Secondary School, Dipa, today. The programme was organised to commemorate and honour 25 years of public service by the Prime Minister.

The one-day camp brought the district administration and various line departments closer to the people by taking government services and information directly to the doorstep of villagers. The primary objective was to create awareness about various Central and State government schemes, programmes and welfare initiatives, while also facilitating the delivery of essential public services on the spot.

Lower Siang Deputy Commissioner Gobi Nyicyor and Likabali Zilla Parishad Member Karbi Nyodu Taipodia attended the programme as the Chief Guest and Guest of Honour, respectively. Addressing the gathering, Shri Nyicyor highlighted various government schemes, services and important programmes aimed at improving the welfare and development of the people. He encouraged the villagers to make full use of the services being provided through such outreach programmes.

Guest of Honour Karbi Nyodu Taipodia appreciated the efforts of the district administration in bringing government services closer to the people. She also appealed to the villagers to take advantage of such camps and avail themselves of the services and benefits available to them.

Similar Seva Setu camps were also organised at other administrative headquarters across the district, including Koyu, where local MLA Tojir Kadu graced the programme. Shri Kadu highlighted the contribution of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and appreciated the efforts of the government towards addressing public concerns and promoting the overall welfare of the people.

The camps provided people, particularly those living in remote areas, with convenient access to government services and helped facilitate essential official work, including the processing of important documents, closer to their homes. The initiative was aimed at making governance more accessible, responsive and citizen-centric, while strengthening the connection between government departments and the people. (DIPRO)
