Khonsa, Sep 29: In a significant outreach effort to bring governance closer to the people, the District Administration, Tirap, in collaboration with various line departments, successfully organised Seva Sankalp Abhiyan camps across the district on September 29, 2026, as part of the statewide initiative. The camps witnessed enthusiastic participation from residents, who availed a wide range of government services, welfare schemes, and awareness programmes at their doorsteps.

The camps were conducted simultaneously across all four Assembly Constituencies of Tirap district.

At 57-Borduria-Bogapani A/C, the programme at Towang Lowangdong Auditorium, Borduria, was graced by DC Tirap Shri Badonlum Tawsik and ZPC Tirap Adv. John K. K. Matey, in the presence of Assistant Commissioner Smti Yowa Anya, BJP President Tirap Unit Shri Lankham Wangsu, DF&CSO Shri Bompi Kadu, DHO Shri Tagom Ronya, DAO Smti Jania Sonya, DVO Dr. Arfila C. Tingkhatra, Er. Yami Ronya (APEDA), DIPRO Miss Ponung Tasing, and officials from all line departments.

At 55-Khonsa East A/C, the programme at the Office of the Circle Officer, Bari Basip, was graced by Deputy Commissioner Tirap Shri Badonlum Tawsik, along with CO Bari Basip Shri Techi Aniya, DHO Shri Tagom Ronya, DPO Shri L.R. Roy, the Chief of Old Katang, GPC members, BJP Karyakartas, and representatives of various departments.

At 56-Khonsa West A/C, the camp at the Office of the Assistant Commissioner, Lazu, was attended by Assistant Commissioner Shri N. L. Naam, in the presence of ZPM Lazu Adv. Najen Rangwang, BJP Karyakartas of 56-Mandal, and officials from line departments.

At 54-Namsang A/C, the camp was held at Government Upper Primary School, Namsang, in the presence of ADC Deomali Shri Tana Bapu, ZPM Deomali Shri Yalik Lowang, AC Smti Indira Thomoung Riba, CO Soha Shri Toko Kacha, PRI leaders and officials and staff from all line departments. ASHA workers and ASHA facilitators of Namsang block also actively participated in the programme.

Addressing the gathering, DC Tirap Shri Badonlum Tawsik emphasised that the primary objective of the Seva Sankalp Abhiyan is to ensure citizen-centric delivery of government services directly to the people, particularly in remote and far-flung areas. He urged residents to actively avail the benefits of various schemes and called upon officials to deliver services efficiently and with dedication to all eligible beneficiaries.

Speaking at Borduria, ZPC Tirap Adv. John K. K. Matey highlighted that the campaign, launched on September 17, 2026, is being observed for a month across the country to commemorate 25 years of governance under Prime Minister Narendra Modi. He appreciated initiatives such as Seva Sankalp Abhiyan and Seva Setu for strengthening grassroots-level service delivery and improving public access to welfare programmes.

The camps served as a comprehensive platform for on-the-spot service delivery, including registration and enrolment of beneficiaries, processing of applications, and dissemination of information on various Central and State Government schemes.

Key services included issuance of Scheduled Tribe (ST) certificates and Permanent Resident Certificates (PRCs) by the District Administration, while the Health & Family Welfare Department facilitated enrolment under Chief Minister’s Aarogya Arunachal Yojana (CMAAY) and Ayushman Bharat–Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana (PM-JAY).

Departments such as Agriculture, Horticulture, Fisheries, Food & Civil Supplies, and Veterinary extended services including distribution of seeds, agricultural tools and medicines, e-KYC of ration cards, and awareness on departmental schemes. The Forest Department distributed saplings and conducted awareness programmes on forest conservation, wildlife protection, and prevention of forest fires.

Banking and financial services were also made accessible, with State Bank of India (SBI), Khonsa, providing services at Bari Basip; Arunachal Pradesh Rural Bank at Borduria; and ICICI Bank, Khonsa, at Lazu. Services included opening of bank accounts, insurance facilities, and financial literacy awareness.

The Education Department and Department of Economics & Statistics facilitated Aadhaar enrolment services, while the Rural Development/Block Development Offices provided services related to MGNREGA and issuance of income certificates.

The District Mission Management Unit (DMMU), Arunachal State Rural Livelihoods Mission (ArSRLM), conducted financial literacy and awareness programmes, while the Department of Women & Child Development provided services related to Pradhan Mantri Matru Vandana Yojana (PMMVY), pension schemes, Mission Vatsalya, and One Stop Centre.

Additionally, the Department of Power and APEDA conducted awareness on the PM Surya Ghar: Muft Bijli Yojana, encouraging households to adopt renewable energy solutions and avail scheme benefits.

The camps saw strong participation from residents of adjoining areas, reflecting increasing awareness and trust in government outreach initiatives. The programme underscores the administration’s continued commitment to ensuring last-mile delivery of services, enhancing public awareness, and making governance more accessible, inclusive, and people-centric.
