Secretary, Art & Culture and Officers from National Museum Visit District Library Namsai

Namsai, Oct 6: Smt. Mamta Riba, IAS, Secretary, Art & Culture, Government of Arunachal Pradesh, along with Shri Arvind Rautela, Deputy Curator (Archaeology), and Shri D. J. Pradeep, Assistant Chemist, National Museum, New Delhi, visited the District Library, Namsai today.
During the visit, the visiting officers took an overview of the functioning, facilities and various public-oriented activities being undertaken by the District Library. They interacted with the library team and appreciated the systematic functioning of the library and its efforts towards providing accessible and quality public library services to the community.
Librarian, District Library Namsai, gave a detailed PowerPoint presentation highlighting the major activities, initiatives and achievements of the library. The presentation covered various outreach programmes, reading promotion activities, community engagement initiatives, library services and technology-enabled initiatives undertaken by the District Library.
The visiting officers expressed their satisfaction with the overall functioning of the library and appreciated its efforts in promoting reading, learning and knowledge among the people, particularly children and students.
The visit also provided an opportunity for interaction and exchange of ideas on strengthening library services and exploring greater integration of cultural and knowledge-based activities for the benefit of the community. (DIPRO)
