ZIRO, Oct 1: In continuation of the nationwide "100 Sundays towards Nasha Mukt Bharat" campaign spanning 200 districts across India, an awareness and health programme themed "MY HEALTH, MY PRIDE" was successfully organized today at the Community Health Centre, Old Ziro, Lower Subansiri District. The initiative was spearheaded by MY Bharat in close coordination with the Health Department to raise awareness about the harmful effects of drug addiction while encouraging local youth and the community to adopt healthy, responsible lifestyles.

Shaffali Yadav, District Youth Officer, Lower Subansiri, graced the occasion as the Guest of Honour. The programme was conducted under the leadership and guidance of Millo Kuniya, District Medical Officer, Lower Subansiri.

The event featured dedicated expert sessions alongside community health services. Tanu Yaring addressed the participants on the importance of maintaining a healthy lifestyle, emphasizing the role of healthy habits and positive daily choices in sustaining overall well-being. Koj Sunya delivered an informative session detailing the severe physical, psychological, and social impacts of drug addiction on individuals, families, and society.

Alongside the awareness sessions, free medical check-ups were conducted by doctors and healthcare staff of Community Health Centre Old Ziro, providing participants with the opportunity to assess their health and receive appropriate medical guidance.

The initiative reinforced the message that a drug-free and healthy society is essential for building a Viksit Bharat, encouraging everyone, particularly the youth, to make health a priority and stay away from substance abuse. (DIPRO)
