Mein inaugurates dist boundary gate at Medo

MEDO, Oct 19: Deputy Chief Minister Chowna Mein on Monday inaugurated the District Boundary Gate at Medo in Lohit district, marking a new landmark at the gateway to the Mishmi Hills.
The gate is envisioned as a welcome point to a region known for its spiritual significance, scenic beauty and rich cultural heritage.
Lohit district serves as an entryway to several prominent destinations, including the sacred Parshuram Kund pilgrimage site, Kamlang Wildlife Sanctuary and Tiger Reserve, Glaw Lake, and the border villages of Kibithoo and Dong, renowned for witnessing the first sunrise in India.
Mein appreciated the efforts of the Rural Works Department (RWD) in executing the project, stating that the structure would add to the region’s infrastructure while giving a distinct identity to this important entry point.
The new gateway is expected to enhance the visual identity of the district and welcome visitors exploring the natural and cultural attractions of eastern Arunachal Pradesh. (Source: EoA)
