ITANAGAR, Aug 15: The Governor of Arunachal Pradesh, Lt Gen KT Parnaik, PVSM, UYSM, YSM (Retd.), and the First Lady of the State, Smt Anagha Parnaik, attended the ‘At Home’ reception hosted by the Chief Minister, Shri Pema Khandu, on the occasion of the 80th Independence Day at the Chief Minister’s official residence, Niti Vihar, Itanagar, on 15th August 2026.

The Governor and the First Lady warmly exchanged Independence Day greetings with the Chief Minister, distinguished guests, and invitees, reflecting the shared commitment of the people of Arunachal Pradesh towards nation-building, unity, and progress.

Adding colour and vibrancy to the ’At Home’ celebration, local artists presented a captivating cultural programme that showcased the rich traditions and artistic heritage of Arunachal Pradesh. Patriotic songs rendered by Ms. Pakngam Lombi and Shri Runka Cheda infused the event with a deep sense of national pride and emotional connection to the land. The artistes of CK Bliss enthralled the audience with a graceful presentation of ‘Thillana in Ragam Hindolam’ in the Bharatanatyam repertoire, while the Arunachal Symphony by CK Bliss added a majestic musical dimension to the evening.
