Pangin, Oct 14: The District Legal Services Authority (DLSA), Siang District, Pangin, conducted the second day of its 20-hour Mediation Training Programme for GaonBurahs (GBs) and GaonBuris (GBis) from various villages of Siang District at the Community Hall, Pangin, with active participation from the participants.

The programme was conducted under the supervision and guidance of Sri BidoSora, Secretary, DLSA Siang District, to strengthen the role of traditional village authorities in promoting peaceful and amicable dispute resolution at the community level.

The sessions were led by Advocates DugmoTali, KaniTamut and TapangTabing, with support from Para Legal Volunteers (PLVs) and staff of the DLSA and the Court.

The third day focused on practical learning through demonstrations. Participants assumed the roles of mediators and observers to understand the mediation process. (DIPRO)
