ITANAGAR, Sep 14: Arunachal Pradesh bagged 32 medals - 5 gold, 12 silver and 15 bronze medals -at the 8th North East Pencak Silat Championship 2026 held in Agartala, Tripura, from 11 to 13 September. BookWalking Tours

The gold medals were won by Teshi Matt (Singa Boys), Mekam Bodi (pre-junior girls 51-55 kg), Sartum Tara (junior boys 43-47 kg), Tiklo Paffa (senior male U-45 kg), and Totoisi Mitti (senior female 65-70 kg), the Arunachal Pradesh Pencak Silat Association said in a release.

The silver medallists were Rolingso Khamblai, Simmi Tayang, Ismirti Barai, Jerina Boko, Tahi Nabam, Khali Richa, Santilly Pul and Bajimlu Malo.

The junior girls Regu team, comprising Simmi Tayang, Ismirti Barai and Liya Tayang, also secured silver.

The bronze medal winners were Baja Blange, Kitemso Lap, Bejanlu Kri, Bajimlu Malo, Pitahso Kri, Bisopso Kri, Koto Moya, Kisanso Tawsik, Chosonso Thadu, Sime Yangfo, Tali Rimo and Biki Yatang. The senior male Regu team, comprising Bisopso Kri, Pitohso Kri and Chosonso Thadu, also secured bronze medals.

The association congratulated all the medal winners, coaches, officials and supporting members for their dedication, discipline and hard work.
